Urs Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid ends on Saturday

Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid (1845–1901) was a 19th-century Saraki sufipoet of the Indian subcontinent. He was a great scholar and a writer who knew several different languages.

The 121st annual Three-days Ceremonies of URS celebrations of Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid ends on Saturday at Mithankot.

Director General Auqaf Punjab Dr Tahir Raza Bokhari inaugurated the URS celebrations while laying traditional chaddar at the grave of the Sufi saint Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid.

Auqaf Department has allotted Rs 459,000 for holding the URS in appropriate manner and langar (free food) for visitors.

Auqaf Department and native police have created foolproof security arrangements.
